The socialization event of this activity was obtained from the old city area management unit, the tourism office and the creative economy. The event was held against the background of the Jakarta Collaboration Festival Night which will be held on December 16, 2021 for cultural heritage buildings in the Old City area that take good care, preserve, and function the old buildings in the old city area. The basis for the activities in carrying out this socialization, including the DKI Jakarta governor regulation number 36 of 2014 concerning the Old City Area Master plan article 4 states that the vision of the old city is to realize the Old City Area as a tourism, business, service and trade area while maintaining the character of values. cultural and historical heritage of the area. The purpose of this socialization is to give appreciation to the owners of cultural heritage buildings who care for, preserve, and function properly, then provide a reduction in land and building tax (PBB) as an incentive for the owner of the building in question, encouraging other building owners to do the same. Similarly, encouraging the participation, contribution, and investment of commercial building owners and BUMN towards BCB owners. In the form of residential houses that have not yet completed tax payments, and the last goal is to encourage the creation of the old city cultural heritage area as an economic growth area in Jakarta.
There are several types of buildings that are recommended to get a reduction in PBB, including government or BUMN buildings, office buildings, commercial buildings, hotels, or restaurants, residential buildings, houses of worship, museums, and so on. There are several factors and assessment criteria in selecting a building that will receive a reduction in Land and Building Tax, including the current function and use of the building, the location and environment of the building, the age of the building, the authenticity and ownership of the building, and the last is the architecture and history of the building. For the formation of the verification team, several teams were proposed, including the DKI Jakarta Provincial Culture Office, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Office of Creative Works, Spatial Planning, and Defense, the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), sub-districts and sub-districts, PTSP sub-district/kelurahan, trial team restoration (TSP), and a team of cultural heritage experts (TACB)
