Wednesday, November 8, 2021. The Village Head of Maphar Village along with the team conducted a door-to-door socialization of vaccines in the RW 01 area, which consisted of 9 RTs. This socialization was carried out as an effort to achieve the 80% vaccine goal targeted by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province with the aim of forming community immunity against the Covid-19. The socialization was conducted from 9 am to 12 noon. In conducting the socialization, The Village Head of Maphar, Mrs. Sri Pujiastuti visited every house whose residents had not been vaccinated yet and gave an explanation about the benefits of the vaccine. "This door-to-door outreach activity has to be carried out continuously and we should not get tired of giving explanations to residents. In this activity, we also try to give our best to meet the needs of the residents in the vaccination process," said Ms. Sri Pujiastuti. The efforts done by Maphar Village in meeting the needs of residents in the vaccination process include providing information on where the vaccination would be conducted in the Maphar village area and providing transportation for residents who live far from the vaccination location. This effort was carried out with the aim of making it easier for Maphar village residents to get the vaccines.
This door-to-door vaccine socialization was a very effective form of communication because the purpose of it directly reached the target. In addition, the residents would become more aware of the importance of vaccines so that various negative perceptions about vaccines in the community could be reduced. The residents would also feel protected by the government with the various facilities provided to them and establish a good relationship between the government and its citizens.
