On Thursday, November 18, 2021, the Jelambar Village Head and the team carried out four socialization activities running from 09.00 until 12.00 WIB. The first activity done at 09.00 WIB was the distribution of 1000 masks at the Grogol Station. The masks were given to train passengers and the public in the area around the station for free. Not only distributing masks, Mr. Rizky as the Head of Welfare Division also gave an appeal to the train passengers and people around Grogol station about the importance of wearing masks during the COVID-19 pandemic. The train passengers and the people around the station were very enthusiastic in receiving the free masks provided. The activity was an effort by the government carried out regularly in its area, especially the Jelambar Village in preventing the quick spread of the Covid-19.
The second activity was a Door to Door RT chairman election. In this activity, the Jelambar Village head and the team brought ballot boxes to the residents' houses to vote for the RT chairman in RT 005 RW 04 area. In this activity, the Jelambar village team also gave directions on how to select the candidates for RT chairman to the community. The door to door voting activities were carried out as an effort to reduce gatherings/crowds in the Jelambar area. "During the COVID-19 pandemic, there are three ways that can be done in RT elections. First is to collect as many as 50% of residents in the RT area, and the second, to vote online, and the third, to bring ballot boxes to people's houses" Mr. Rizky explained, as the Head of Welfare Division. The door-to-door voting did not reduce the residents’ enthusiasm in choosing the RT chairman and this method was also very effective during this pandemic.
The third activity was monitoring the vaccination at RPTRA Satria Jelambar from 10.30 to 11.00 WIB. In this activity, the village head of Jelambar checked the readiness of the vaccination team and ensured that the needs for the vaccination program held at RPTRA Satria Jelambar had been met. "This monitoring activity needs to be carried out so that the vaccination program runs smoothly and also by conducting this activity, we can also help meet what needs are needed during the vaccination program," said Mrs. Henni as the Village Head of Jelambar. The vaccination achievement in the Jelambar area on October 13, 2021 has reached 79.6%. The Village Head of Jelambar Village continues to optimize the vaccine program in the Jelambar area so that it would reach 80% of the vaccine achievements set by the
DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
The fourth activity was the help from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Large-Scale Social Collaboration (KSBB) program for food in the form of rice boxes. The distribution of rice boxes was given to the poor and vulnerable people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The distribution of rice boxes was carried out by the village head and the Jelambar village team, including in the area of RW 02, RW 04, RW 05, and RW 08. In providing the rice boxes, the urban village was collaborating with MSMEs, which was a ‘Warteg’ in the Jelambar area with the aim of helping MSME business owners during the current covid-19 pandemic. The residents were very enthusiastic receiving the help from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and in this activity the village head of Jelambar, Mrs. Henni, took this moment to invite the residents who had not been vaccinated yet to immediately get vaccinated and convey information about the importance of vaccines.
